What best sums up the qualities of a Sorelle crib is beautiful designs, excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail and materials that will literally last a lifetime.
If you want real quality and something that will stand the test of time then you should seriously consider Sorelle. There are very few other manufacturers who can match its cribs in terms of build quality and elegant design; Pali, Munire and Basset cribs being just a handful that can offer cribs that are as good.
An increasingly popular choice of crib is the convertible model. Its versatility and long-term cost savings really appeals and many parents just love the overall elegant look of this type of crib. Sorelle convertible cribs come in both 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 versions with the latter being the most popular as this type can convert from crib to toddler bed to day bed to full-size bed - it's meant to last your child a lifetime, and Sorelle's are constructed using the best materials and craftsmanship so that they can be passed on to the next generation.
A personal favourite of mine is the Sorelle Cottage 4-in-1. Its overall look and restrained styling means that it could fit just as equally well in a modern nursery or one that harks back to previous times. The spindles are plain and square-edged. Likewise, the foot rail is straight and the headboard is crafted of simple wainscoting. The rail on the headboard is curved which softens its overall appearance. The finish is either in white or French white.
The Hamptons is another restrained and elegant convertible crib by Sorelle. It is reminiscent of American colonial styling - straight, simple spindles, with straight foot and head rails. Although available in Autumn and Candle Light finishes, to my mind, this crib looks its best in a Cherry finish.
The Mara 3-in-1 is a very beautiful sleigh crib and it comes with an underneath storage drawer though perhaps its most distinct feature is that it is on castors, which makes moving it about easy - I often wonder why most convertible cribs don't come with castors; these are heavy pieces of furniture and moving them about isn't always easy.
If you're looking for something more ornate then the Regal might be the perfect choice. Despite having straight rails at the head and foot, the fluted legs lend this piece a somewhat grand appearance (incidentally the Munire Newport crib has very similar detailing - you should definitely compare the two). Also, unlike the previous models discussed so far, the Regal crib comes with mini siderails, however the adult rails are still an optional extra. As you might expect with this 'grander style' the finishes are in dark rich woods; Autumn, Cherry and Espresso.
But, for those who want all out romance, the Sorelle Anne's Lace is a must. The ornate detailing includes raised leaf deigns on the top of the legs and on the headboard. Running along the foot and side bottom rail is a very pretty swag and loop design. The crib comes in only one finish: French White and just looks divine.
Sorelle convertible cribs are beautiful pieces of baby furniture that few other manufacturers can equal. True, Bassett and Munire cribs do offer convertible cribs that are just as beautiful and well-made, but on comparable pieces, Sorelle is cheaper and is just as wells made, in my opinion.
